Tuesday

Today's Goodness

1. The kids are spending the day with their grandma
2. I get to go to the pool and lay out all afternoon- just me, a drink, some magazines
3. I'm already dreaming of my lunch- leftover veggie Imos pizza and lentil salad
4. I get to pack for our trip alone in the house while watching my saved Punk'd marathon. I love that show!
5. My weekly mom's group starts back up tonight- can't wait! It's such a fun and encouraging time for me.

Friday

My Own Little Personal Hygge Last Night

1. Squeaky-clean washed face and my hair pulled back in a high pony
2. Fleecy pajama pants and a long-sleeved tissue tee
3. Cuddled up in our leather recliner under my fleece Kanakuk blanket
4. Watching Project Runway and Parks & Recreation
5. Drinking a hot chai tea latte with a little squirt of chocolate syrup for good measure

If I Were All Alone Today, I'd...

1. Go to Kaldi's and get a chai tea
2. Go on a drive around some neighborhoods I like
3. Have lunch at Vegadeli
4. Get a manicure
5. Browse around Borders for a good cookbook and a history book
6. Hop over to Maplewood for some antique shopping
7. Shop at Alice's on the Loop
8. Supper at Fitz's for fried pickles and a veggie burger
9. Try on shoes at Nordstrom
10. Stop at Cyrano's for bread pudding for dessert
11. Go to bed early

Thursday

What Makes Me Happy

1. Rush slept from 9:00 PM to 5:00 AM (sadly, so did I--I don't think my boobs will ever forgive me)
2. I got all of my Target, Whole Foods, and Schnucks shopping done yesterday with no kiddie meltdowns
3. Still have one delicious homemade cookie left
4. Get to leave the house sans babies Thursday and Friday nights.
5. Winnie is getting more verbal
6. Did I mention Rush's sleep schedule last night???

Little Silver Linings On A Cloudy Yesterday

1. Winnie in her first pigtails- pretty cute
2. Lunch at CPK with Andy and the kids
3. Biggest Loser start up- it looks to be a great season
4. We cut the feet off a pair of Winnie's footed pajamas and she wore them around...little yellow polka-dotted slippers

Why The Downtown Schnucks Culinaria Is So Cool

1. BEAUTIFUL produce section...artistic, even
2. A grill that serves up sandwiches, pizzas, salads, burritos, and quesadillas
3. A loft with an extensive wine selection
4. Eat-in area
5. I can walk there
6. It's cheaper than City Grocer (not good news for City Grocer)
7. So much awesome take-out food
8. Computerized deli section...you enter your order in the computer and pick it up whenever
9. All the shelves, containers, baskets, etc. are just so pretty and fancy
10. Kaldi's Coffee and Benito's Gelato stations
11. We ate there for dinner last night. At Schnucks.
12. People can stop asking me, "Where do you buy your groceries? Bwah..."

Thursday

Why I'm Excited About A Beach Vacation

1. Andy not working for a week
2. Seeing W's reaction to the waves and sand--she loved it at 5 months
3. Having multiple family "nannies" to help with the babies
4. Living and eating and playing with my family for a week--I miss them a lot
5. I love our beach vacations when we cook in for dinner at our condo
6. Rafferty will want to bury people in the sand all the time. I can't wait to hear everyone's excuses for getting out of it.
7. Winnie will get a week of cousin play time
8. Andy and I usually have a great time with each other on road trips
9. I like making lists, packing a suitcase, dj-ing music, bringing great snacks, etc. A great road tripper!
10. I will have Jenny with me this year to share in my obsession of searching Wilmington for old Dawson's Creek filming spots. She can show me all the One Tree Hill ones
11. Andy won't have to play in the ocean alone this year--Ryan will join him!
12. My mom and dad really love going to the beach with the family
13. I love being at the pool and beach all day, then coming back to the condo and getting all snuggly
14. I am looking forward to the traditional everybody-coordinating beach photo shoot
15. I LOVE spending time with my family

Little Things That Have Made Me Happy Lately

1. Season 2 of Arrested Development
2. Finding Honey Graham Oh!s cereal at Target and buying four boxes
3. Rush's umbilical cord fell off
4. A new bag of vanilla snaps
5. Winnie has learned where her nose, eyes, ears, hair, belly, and mouth are and can say some of them
6. Got to clean some newly-discovered funk from our Skip Hop Splash. How rewarding!
7. I fit back into my shorts from last summer
8. I found a CSI:NY book that I never read tucked away in our bookshelves

Thursday

Things I Am Happy For Today

1. Arrested Development on DVD
2. Creative foods that don't require cheese and spinach (two of my faves)
3. These Mi-Del snap cookies. I am driving to Whole Foods today just to get another bag.
4. My iPhone to distract from the pains of nursing
5. My two precious (for totally different reasons) babies
6. Andy staying home from work this week
7. Winnie likes to kiss Rush
8. Ibuprofen is curbing my discomforts

6 Unimportant Things That Make Me Happy

*I stole this idea from my sister's blog
1. Driving by the Prairie Rehab sign at HWY 44 & 270...it's a silly story, but makes me laugh hard
2. Doing a Sudoku puzzle on our computer dashboard in less than 3 minutes
3. When the stack of lids and stack of sippy cups turn up a 2 color match in the morning (I know, weird, but I consider it a good luck charm in the morning)
4. When I go to hang up my robe in the closet, and the available hanger is the one pink one (Again, weird, but another sign of good luck)
5. Puddy getting his ring toy where it frames his face, then I call him "Sunshine" because that's what it looks like
6. When at Whole Foods they have the Bolthouse Farms prickly pear lemonade...it is VERY rare, but I still only allow myself to buy one

1. W can get on and off the couch--and I don't even worry about injury anymore!
2. My balcony flowers look amazing. First time ever.
3. Our favorite charity, Kids Across America. I LOVE that place.
4. Puddy and Winnie love each other. She likes kissing him more than me.
5. I am committed to doing my part for the planet.
6. One of those commitments was rinsing and reusing plastic baggies. Now it is giving up plastic baggies.

1. I have the best brother in the world...he detailed my car perfectly. It looks brand new.
2. I slept uninterrupted last night. No bathroom breaks or pain attacks.

Good Things That Happened This Weekend

1. I won the Murphy family NCAA bracket challenge
2. I got a console table and some lamps for my birthday from Andy, a mall gift card from his parents, flowers from Aaron, flowers from my parents, and some earrings from my sister & brother-in-law.
3. Winnie had a fun little birthday party last night and got cute gifts from everyone.
4. Winnie likes her new wagon we got her.
5. I ate my weight at Fitz's Saturday night, and it felt wonderful.

What I'm Excited For

1. Battlestar Galactica series finale Friday...I want to know the truth, but am sad it'll be over. Bittersweet.
2. MARCH MADNESS!!! Bracket ready.
3. Many babies being born soon. It seems like it's a good season for boys!
4. Blueberry pancakes
5. Rafferty's birthday party--it's going to be off the hook. (No pun intended)
6. Spring weather. That means SUMMER weather coming soon after.
7. Our new bedroom TV
8. The rest of the sermon series. #1 was confusing for me, but I'm looking forward to the rest.
9. A walk to Crepes in the City this weekend.
