Today's To-Do List

I've enterted into the "I've fallen and I can't get up" level of cleaning in my house. Time to get serious.
1. Clean out and organize the laundry room-it also houses my reusable shopping bags, all of our art and crafting supplies, travel bags, recycling, cleaning supplies, and miscellaneous storage- it can become quite the disaster
2. Hand wash all my hand wash only items
3. Organize craft and art supplies
4. Take goodwill donations
5. Vacuum floors
6. Dust the whole place
7. Clean, no, really clean the kid's room
8. Make dental appointments

Tuesday

Little Projects Simmering Around My House

1. Lining and/or re-lining some of my drawers and cabinets
2. Installing a pull-down spice rack in my high cabinet
3. Switching out art
4. Reorganizing kitchen cabinets and bathroom cabinet (I would like a congratulations for operating a family of four out of one 19X20 bathroom cabinet)
5. Touching up paint
6. Purchasing photo albums and making photo books
7. Starting to get ideas to re-do the guest bathroom
8. Re-grouting our bathroom (I think I'll actually save this for my dad on his next visit)

Friday

Around the House Dislikes

1. Dirty dishes in the sink that are filled with water. Hate it!
2. When the kitchen counters get littered with things. I like them to be perfectly clean. I blame my mother.
3. Fingerprints on the living room tables, but alas, it's a winless game I'm playing.
4. The dustbunnies that form and hang out along our hallway wall
5. When our middle blanket comes...nevermind. My bed rules could be a whole list in and of itself.
6. When A puts the dishes in the dishwasher the wrong way. For instance, I like to keep silverware handle up and I always start filling it up from the back.
7. Exposed cords
8. I don't like the setup of the kid's room, and am irritated that there really isn't another option.
9. When people hang their toilet paper the wrong way. Ha!
10. Lights off in the main living area during the day

Household Chores My 3 Year Old Helps Out With

3. She is responsible for keeping her shoes and her brothers shoes in the shoe drawer.
4. She puts on her own shoes and helps her brother put on his shoes.
5. W can easily clean up all the toys in the house- I give her little jobs at a time so that it's less overwhelming- the cars, the puzzles, the babies, etc.
6. She gets (most) items off of the shelf at the grocer and puts them in the buggy for me.
7. She brushes her teeth.
8. Her favorite jobs are helping me put on a clean tablecloth and helping me make my bed.
9. She does love little jobs such as, "Would you put this bag in the laundry room?" or "Could you turn the TV off?" I think it makes her feel like my partner, which is her ultimate dream.
